They say it themselves, “wine is a story of terroirs and grape varieties, but above all of men and women”
This is why we will say either the Domaine de Grange Neuve or “the Castaing Family” when we talk to you about them.
Because this wine is a family story. A family that has been working its land since 1896. First in polyculture and then in wine-growing after the war. Today, three generations work together, surrounded by their employees “whose wines are indebted to their know-how” (we quote), in short, an extended family.
Already years of collaboration with them and we never tire of it.
Their red Bergerac AOC is unoaked, easy to pair with red meat or soft cheese.
Their Monbazillac (“The gold of Périgord, just that”!) is delicious and fruity. Our favorite pairings: Roquefort or melon. So of course it has a legitimate place in dessert but be careful, let’s not add sugar to this excellent sweet, let’s marry it with dark chocolate to enhance it even more.
And a naturally sweet grape juice, 100% pure juice, without coloring or preservatives (we like it!) We will talk about it like a wine because its Sémillon grape variety expresses aromas of nectarine, melon, pear and apricot!
We will conclude by giving you the opportunity to discover them even more on the net and we encourage you to meet them.
Why not mid-August? When the beach invites itself to Grange Neuve? Because that’s also the Castaing family, a touch of madness, tons of sand and the party that invites itself into the vineyards to taste very seriously (all the same) these wines from our beautiful South West.
